    Disney, Siemens sign pact
The Walt Disney Company recently announced a 12-year strategic alliance with Siemens AG, a premier global technology and infrastructure company.

The agreement paves the way for the two companies to broaden their technological collaboration across several platforms.

"Embracing new technology is a key strategic priority at Disney, because it supports our commitment to creating an outstanding Guest experience," said Bob Iger, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company.

As part of the agreement, Siemens also will appear as a presenting sponsor for several Disneyland® and Walt Disney World experiences, including the Spaceship Earth attraction and the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks spectacular at Epcot®, and Innoventions exhibits at Epcot and Disneyland Park. In addition, the company's Sylvania lighting division will sponsor the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights holiday display at the Disney-MGM Studios and the classic Disney's Electrical Parade at Disney's California Adventure® Park.

As for the wand...I can take it or leave it. It has some redeeming qualities, like the much needed connection to the rest of WDW, but Spaceship Earth can stand alone quite impressively. But, for heavens sake, fill that exit with something.

That is one area where I think management had their collective heads buried deep. Nothing makes a place look like it's ready to go under than a deserted display space. They could have put something in there even if it was decommissioned props from removed rides. I know I would have enjoyed looking at those.

Just please, please get rid of those asinine "your ride vehicle will turn around at times" video at the beginning.

Are people REALLY so stupid that they need to be warned of this?

tell that to the person and his family whose life is saved by technology today that wouldn't have been even 20 years ago....
life would be very boring if time stood still............

<Are people REALLY so stupid that they need to be warned of this<

watch the behavior of some people ( and usually not kids ) on some of the rides and attractions then think about this again -- the unfortunate answer is yes in some cases
