When they system is fully installed (right now it is just in the testing phase), you will be able to print out a barcode at home for your order, say 3 Adults 3 Day ParkHoppers and 1 Kids 3 Day ParkHopper. The CM will scan the barcode, and then a printer located in the turnstile platform will print out the 4 traditional tickets for use (If you look at the photos, you will see a small slot in the platform where the tickets will be dispensed). Guests will not have to go to Will Call, which should reduce lines at those booths. A rumored change, that CM sign ins will change, and will be tracked on the system, CM's will get a sign in card with a barcode (or just use their current ID), and then the machine will keep track of the sign-ins and print out tickets for the day for the guests. This will help with the CM turn over issue, and can easily cancel the privledge if someone quits. And of course, the photo, it is a large color photo that shows up in the lower left. Other rumored things, it might flash special messages, such as with SoCal specials, to ask to see ID from the user (The official rules are clear, EACH user must be a SoCal (or Baja) resident. This might slow down the turnstiles (and Disney should keep more open in these cases), but Disney feels the amount of fraud that will be reduced will more than pay for that extra labor.

That is expected by the end of the year, but maybe as soon as next month. I have specifically used it to check out the new system, and it didn't seem like the line moved much slower than the rest.

I did however see other people's photos on the screen when I went by on my way out, and they were indeed in color. Also, I saw other people who had APs that needed to be manually entered.

But now that Disneyland is finally getting in on this, at least it sounds like they are even jumping ahead of the other parks.
