Plot Synopsis: Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he's destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how "big," when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift night watchman at a museum of natural history. But during Larry's watch, something extraordinary happens: the museum's exhibits magically come to life. A fearsome T-Rex insists on a game of fetch (with one of his own skeleton bones); Mayans, Roman Gladiators, and cowboys emerge from their diorama to wage epic battles; and a wax figure of Teddy Roosevelt gives Larry important advice while harboring a crush for an Indian princess. As things spiral wildly out of control, Larry must find a way to control the magic to stop a nefarious plot and save the museum.

    Yes! My sentiments exactly. LOL.

And Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke and Robin Williams and Ben Stiller? How can you go wrong. :)

About as long as it's been since you've seen Mickey Rooney in a movie?

Van Dyke has done a ton of TV, Diagnosis Murder et al.

As for Mickey Rooney, his last role in a major release [he's done some lower budget stuff] was 'Babe: Pig in the City' 1998 -- but my gosh, he just turned 86 years old.

    -------SPOILER ALERT-----

The first 10-15 minutes as they developed Ben Stiller's character seemed forced and not completely thought out. I thought the attitude of Ben Stiller's ex-wife was a bit strange. Ben Stiller maybe has to move to Queens -- what does she care? It was written to make us feel like Ben Stiller was a complete loser, but he didn't come across that way.

Carla Gugino as the ravishingly beautiful museum docent. Uh-huh.

Owen Wilson was fun as the cowboy, and the other characters in the museum -- animals and such -- were fun to see.

What happened to the list? The monkey tore it up after item #3 -- why didn't we get to see that?

They made me laugh so much. Also loved Attila the Hun, lmao!
