CB really hasn't much to do with Xmas, and while it domestically made roughly the same amount of dollars in theatres as NBX, the characters don't have anywhere near the same universal (as it were) appeal as Jack/Sally/Zero/Oogie/Lock/Shock/Barrel.. Not to mention that CB has yet to show the long term staying power that NBX has nor has it become a cult classic among the spooky kids young and old. Time will of course tell, but my bet is that NBX will have far better staying power than CB.
