This is a common problem. Holding the DS well away from yourself (arms length) seems to help (for me anyway).

I've found that if I say it in a little higher register than I normally speak in, it seems to pick it up better.

If you like rhythm games like Dance Dance Revolution or Bust a Groove, you'll love this game. It's now my favorite game on the system. The music is all J-Pop and great. It's challenging, but not impossible to beat.

It's coming to the US as a sequel called Elite Beat Agents in December. It'll share the same addictive gameplay, but have new stories and new songs. I hope they pick some good songs for it. I'd hate to play the game to Hit Me Baby... One More Time.

Too cool-- do you have a source you can recommend? It'd be nice to expand the selection of games this way! Thanks.

I paid $50 for Osu! Tatakae! Ouedan! and honestly, I think it was worth it. I love the game so much. I've also bought Bleach DS from the same guy. I bought the game so I could battle against a friend with the same game. It's fun, but I prefer rhythm/puzzle games over fighting. Another one of my friends bought Jump Superstars (which would never see US shores) and loves it.

My friends have used www.play-asia.com to buy games. One recently bought the Japanese version of Phoenix Wright (which includes both Japanese and English) for $29 and Bleach DS for $49. I think shipping was around $3 per game and took almost 3 weeks to arrive. A long time.

I've also heard great things about www.ncsx.com.

Importing is expensive. I almost wish the DS wasn't region free. Then I wouldn't have a choice but to wait for it to come to the US. : - )
