I think I may have met this person several thousand times while working in City Hall! I'm just kidding, jnemo, but you'd be surprised at how many people will yell, scream and throw things claiming that Disneyland is cancelling shows to make people pay for extra days in the Park or to "save money" by not putting on the fireworks. Believe me when I tell you that cancelling shows is an absolute LAST resort. I hated hearing about cancellations because I knew that in about 10 minutes the lobby of City Hall would be flooded with Guests.

Disney is only be responible by not having the fireworks and taking the chance of a major accident from one falling in the wrong place, oh then the neighbors would really be upset.

All you have to do is watch one of the lost balloons while sitting there and you can pretty much tell that the winds are blowing hard. Sure we have been disappointed and boy are my knees screaming but it's not Disneyland's fault. The Anaheim Fire Marshall makes the call and it's clearly for the safety of guests and residents.
