Like Expedia was showing openings for lots of the WDW hotels for the 7th-10th. Have you tried calling in a reservation? There was just another thread where a discussion was going on about how often room reservations change and that calling you often get different info from one call to the next. Maybe persistance would pay off if you just kept up with trying to call? Hope someone else has a better suggestion for you! I don't know that I'm helping much. :) But good luck! I hope you are able to find somewhere on-site!

I tried usually at 7 am est when they first take calls.
I had the same 1000's a night deal offered which was obviously out of the question, so we finally got the ASMU and PC for 125 or so a night so be perstistent and you have better than a 50/50 shot. I would also hate to be offsite but in Orlando, you won't be homeless for sure. Actually deals off site are so much better but we disney freaks> you know how we are!:)

One problem is we are not 100% percent we can go. We have to wait until the last minute really to see what my work volume will be before I can take the entire week off.

I have a feeling...We will just take off to Florida that Monday evening and just look for somewhere to stay offsite. I will miss the EMH but the past two trips this year I was the only one who took advantage of it and I only went to the MK by myself to watch the fireworks. Also our last two trips we only spent half a day in each park (except for me I did go couple time by myself to do what "I" wanted). For the most part we enjoyed the things at the resort or adventured around Orlando to see what we could find. .0

This trip we are all going to be all about the parks so very little time will be spent at the hotel but with that being said I will not just stay anywhere.

Off the beat here...If you buy a vacation package with the dining option those options do expire correct?
