but in all seriousness, I feel sorry for your friend as I am a thrill junkie (who also enjoys a classic ride as well but love thrill) and don't know what I would do if my doctor said no more coasters. Then again, i have not been on a coaster or big thrill ride since June due to minor surgery in July and just got permission to go on anything that wont hurt my face, though I will wait for a little more time and better answer to go on Montu, Sheikra, or Rock N Roller Coaster again.

At least he was feeling a little better and trying to find things he can still do that he enjoys, that is always the hard part with these situations.

But back to Tower....The sheer thought of it use to put complete panic in my mind...Then I rode it the first time in a manner that most don't get to....I didn't have to wait in line...I was simply put on it at my request...Guess what? I survived without any damage and have ridden several times since....The socalled elevator car is rather large and didn't strike me as feeling restrictive for someone that might have such issues...One thing I hate about rides of this type is the fact I don't like the feeling that I am hanging by my ass in the middle of nowhere, such as roller coasters do to me....Well with Tower I don't have to look off to the side and get that feeling...The weirdest for me regarding Tower was the idea once the drop sequence started I couldn't tell or feel anything bad...I felt a sense of motion at a high rate of speed but couldn't tell if it was up, down or sideways....I simply didn't feel the idea of it being a definite drop...Just high speed as I said...Give it a try some time....

Witches, my mom has claustrophbia too. She has ridden Tower many times with no problems. She also has a fear of heights too. You would think the falling elevator scenario would aggrivate that too, but she is fine with it.
