Six Flags is a scary, ugly, teetering disaster of an experience. WDW is skies beyond in pure experience and pleasure. I'll take every WDW paint blemish and clogged toilet with a smile and a song. WDW is the Laughingplace. Six Flags is nothing more than a Gangstaplace

I haven't been to Six Flags Over Georgia, but I've been to the Six Flags Magic Mountain in SoCal and the Six Flags in New Jersey. Both were atrocious. Nice to know that continues throughout their chain.

Again, I'm amazed they stay in business. But the good news is that it keeps a certain demographic entertained and prevents them from considering a Disney visit instead.

WDW is planned. WDW is (subject to minor debate)timeless. It's such a pleasure to make the 8 hour drive and spend the cash. Same goes for Universal/IOA.

Which is why many hold WDW and Uni to high standards, myself included. Because they're supposed to be so much more.

I have been to a couple of parks that rival Disney in cleanliness, maintenance and customer service: Sliver Dollar City outside of Branson, MO and Valleyfair (a Cedar Fair park) outside of Minneapolis, MN are both very well-run parks. While they don't have the "specialness" of the Disney parks, they are a very good value. I think a Season Pass to Silver Dollar City (less than $90) is a far greater value than spending $100 for one day at the Magic Kingdom. In fact during a hot, humid and crowded summer day in Orlando, you'd probably have to pay me to go there.

This is, after all, the park that was submerged by the sewage-filled flood waters of the Chattahoochee River a few years ago, and the site of not one, but two, decapitations on the Batman coaster.

I actually forgot the park existed until I saw it on a map a few days ago, and I don't know anyone here in Atlanta who visits the place. I too wonder how it stays in business.
