I'm so bummed yet determined that I'm thinking of going by myself. Does anyone ever do that? Is it lonely saying "One" when they ask you how many in your party?

    He's right.

OK... that's the second time I've seen you say that. There must be a post somewhere that I haven't seen. So who's the axe murderer? Me, you or someone else??

    LOL

I would probably have felt uncomfortable at a table service restaurant, so I just ate at counter service ones.

I was also a little lonely in my room after I got back from the parks... especially since it was a time when they closed early. Then I discovered the pool bar and that solved THAT problem. Plenty of friendly Brits, always willing to talk!

That's what I'd love about it, too.

Ah, but you're a man. If a man dines alone he's more of an intriguing "lone wolf" to people, lol (I heard/read this somewhere about the differences between the sexes in various areas).

Nobody will tell me, but I've been told to look out for them at meets.

You're probably go alone and love every moment.

I did the exact same thing last summer, it worked out fine...I've also attended a couple of conventions in Anaheim and headed over to the park on my own and actually had a great time. Don't get me wrong, I do love to experience it with family and friends but I love it enough to be happy doing what I want on my own in Disneyland too.
