We start really early on the girls hair and use another travel sized bottle of hairspray AND a huge amount of extra hold gel. Their hair turns out beautiful so we start getting ready ourselves. We were worried about being late so we called a taxi to take us to the park. Well, the taxi is late picking us up and we hit every single red light from our hotel to the park. Then we find out the taxi cannot take us right in and we have to get out outside of the park. So my brother starts getting the girls in and I take care of the cab and catch up. Now we’re really starting to cut it close to the drop off time so we start walking faster. The day before we had asked a cast member which way to go to get to the entrance of Toon Town and were told to go through Frontierland and just follow the path. Well…little did we know if we had just gone through the Castle we would have been there with time to spare but going through Frontierland took a lot longer! As we get closer we start seeing parents coming back and they’re telling us to hurry and that they were leaving. So I look back and tell my brother to just pick my younger daughter up and we start running through the park to Toon Town. We turn the last corner and instead of seeing 80 dancers in bright red jackets we see….NOTHING! They are all gone! I see one last parent and she’s getting upset telling us they were gone now. I ask her which way they went and she points to a cast member door and says through there but…well that was enough for me I tell my brother follow me and we go running through the door and turn a corner just in time to see our group turn a corner way up the road! I’m thinking if they turn another corner we won’t be able to find them so at this point we are at a full run down the road! My deepest apologies about going backstage by the way, but I didn’t know what else to do! So we turn the second corner and lucky us it was a long straight stretch to our group. Shortly up the road we see Alice, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter and one other character (who were surprised to see us almost as much as we were surprised to see them) Well, Alice jumps right into character as she realizes what happened and starts telling us “Run my friends…you can make it….etc†It was awesome. So anyways I’m starting to run out of steam and my older daughter is now pulling me along saying we have to hurry and catch them! Hehe…so I drop her hand and tell her just run!! So off she goes like a shot and next thing I see my younger daughter goes racing past me and she starts waving her hands in the air saying wait for us guys!! Man we must have been quite the sight to see! So we catch up to them and I’m apologizing like crazy about coming backstage and the lady who runs our studio tells me its ok and that we would be walked back out by a cast member once its explained what will happen before, during and after the performance. So the performance was awesome!!! It was so amazing to see everyone up there!! I video taped it and almost filled the memory card for my digital camera and my ex’s ex filled up one of her memory cards. Ok…I admit it…I cried a bit seeing my girls up there! Once the performance was done we picked the girls up and our whole dance team headed out to the California sign for pictures. After the pictures we went on more rides. We got to go on the Astro Orbitor, Mad Tea Party, Alice in Wonderland, Star Tours and It’s a Small World Holiday. Just after the Small World ride (which was so very beautiful!), we got to see a mini parade with Aladdin and Jasmine and Mary Poppins. It was related to the Year of a Million Dreams in someway. To wrap up the night we watched the fireworks on Main Street. Amazingly it was the girls older sister and my ex’s ex first time seeing it with the snow after on this trip! We then headed back to the hotel for more swimming.
