My daughters older sister’s mom (ok…to simplify because we confuse a lot of people with this one…my ex is her ex J)

We spent the day doing as many rides possible as my brother was leaving the next day (he had to leave a day before us as this was the only time he could take off from work). We went on Buzz Lightyear, Star Tours, Autotopia, the Disney Railroad, Casey Junior Circus Train (we got an amusing picture of my brother locked in the “wild animals†cage), Storybook Land Canal Boats, Mad Tea Party, Alice in Wonderland (when we went on this ride when my brother and I were kids we had a picture taken of us with our parents at the point directly above where the line up is and so we did the same thing. My ex’s ex took a picture of my brother, my daughters and me almost at the exact same spot. Unfortunately my younger daughter was too short so she didn’t show up in the picture, but we got our picture taken just before we got off the ride so you could see all of us), Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, King Arthur Carrousel and Mr. Toads Wild Ride. We also got to see Merlin at the Sword in the Stone.

As we were having dinner with our Uncle we decided we’d better get back to the hotel and meet him there. When we heading to the exit we finally gave in and got the girls some of those helium balloons. Well, just as we got through the exits I look back and my younger daughter is just crying her eyes out! It didn’t take long to figure out why though, the string to her balloon was not tied tight enough and the balloon had floated away!! So my brother and my ex’s ex took her back to the fellow who had sold it to us and explained what happened. He said he had seen it floating and had wondered what happened. He was so nice about it and replaced it at no charge. So we finally head back to the hotel and my brother and the girls older sister head off to the roller coaster. Well by the time we all got back to the hotel our Uncle just showed up so off to dinner we went. It was so good to see him (the last time we saw him my girls were still babies). We had a great visit and got lots of pictures. Just as we left dinner we got to see the fireworks again. After our Uncle left we decided last minute to go watch Santa Clause 3 at Downtown Disney. That was pretty cool. After the show we headed back to the hotel and the girls crashed out and went to sleep and we got my brother all packed up for his flight the next morning. Boy was that interesting. I called the Disneyland Resort Express to make sure Eric’s name was on their list and just missed them by like 5 minutes and was told it would open again at 4 am (this was at like 12:05 am we called) and we could call back then. The lady I spoke with suggested I check to see if the front desk would be willing to call for us so off I go to ask the front desk and am told by the desk clerk, somewhat rudely, there is nothing she can do and that I have all the information and she can’t phone them. So I go back and tell my brother he has to get up at 4 am and call them because the lady just flat out refused. So he gets up at 4 am and as he’s so worried about missing his flight books himself a seat on the 4:25 am bus! So I walk him to the bus and we both get choked up and say our goodbyes and off he goes.
