A few caveats though if I may: I'm making four specific topics so please stick to the two which pertain to you if you wouldn't mind (true "on the fence" folks, feel free to chime in on all four). In that spirit, I will only chime in on the two topics that refer to "Obama supporters". And, please don't refer to policy, only to specific campaigning tactics (speeches, ads, etc...). Finally, please give just one example (the worst example, in your opinion), and please stick to verifiable things the candidate or the campaign did...nothing about bloggers, talking heads, or any other non-affiliated folks.

Just a blatant lie. Unjustifiable, and they know full well that it isn't the truth. Even if they shaped the commercial to claim "Obama insinuated...", THAT wouldn't have been so distasteful.

But just the fact the put those words right up on the screen "Obama on Palin" right in target so the whole "lipstick" thing would be back to back with hers, and all that...BLATANTLY false.

They are certainly going down a dark path with this. Essentially the commercial promises that prior to the comment shown Obama actually said something along the lines of "well, here's what I think of Sarah Palin".

    Bad, bad, bad.

But that's why I think Obama ought to call out McCain RIGHT NOW on the sex ed ad, which was indeed despicable. Call it what it was, point out the lie, say (literally) "shame on John McCain for approving of an ad which is a blatant lie."

A little preemptive strike, if you will, for the worse that will come. Might keep the media more honest when the worse does come, and make at least some people take what comes with a grain of salt.
