It does post some racial stereotypes, but it's kinda funny too!

Hope it doesn't offend anyone as I don't think that was the idea of the maker of the video.

I just don't think Obama rolls this way. So while I get the intent considering the climate of the times and how it does feed the stereotypes, I can't laugh at it.

There's a different between Snopp doing it and laughing at his people. It's another thing to imply this is how Air Force One with be now that we have a black President.

    It's just different.

Funny how perceptions can be..I didn't see it as anything to do with Obama, the president (any more than if that clip had been used when Clinton won, considering how he was considered a "hip brutha"...or for that matter poking fun of "Air Texas" when Bush won).

Bill Maher made a good point, we can't be afraid of poking fun at Obama cause he's a black guy. He's not a black guy, he's the president.

I thought it was funny, myself.

Now I agree with Maher that we shouldn't be afraid to joke about him just because he's black. But I find racial slurs offensive.

Not saying anyone else needs to be offended, just explaining why I was.

Eye of the beholder, I suppose. The funniest thing (to me) was the "lock the doors" thing, which (to me) was more a slam on white attitudes than black people coupled with the disconnect of people on an airplane having doors to lock.

Which, when you come right down to it, is a racial slur against whites--lol! I guess I'm more sensitive to racial jokes when they're done by a majority or mainstream group against a group that has historically suffered from prejudice.
