The HAUNTS family is going to plan a trip to WDW next October but we need some advice from some of you "seasoned" Orlando travelers.

    Here's our dilemma:
We would like to spend 10 days at WDW staying on site, but would like to do one night at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.

Would it be cheaper to just take a taxi to US for one night for the event, or would it be more beneficial to book one night at US for the event?

Which option would make more sense convenience-wise and thrift-wise?

    Your help is appreciated!!

Imagine having to pack up, change hotels, check-in, unpack, go to the event, come back, sleep, pack, check out, and then change hotels again.

    Madness, says I!

I'd still take a taxi, Magical Express won't work to or from a Universal hotel.

We used the Mears Van from our WDW Hotel to Universal for one day. Mears is the same company that operates the Magic Express Airport for Disney, etc. The phone # is 407-423-5566. I do not remember the price so I would appreciate if you would add any extra info you decide on. I will probably be visiting both parks in Dec.2010.
