"But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy."

Now could one of you right winger types PLEASE explain to me how this comment makes sense?

How is the "no banker left behind" initiative going to affect healthcare reform, and what does health care reform have to do with improving the economy?

Please tell me that, at least in THIS case, you'd agree that she is confused and not making sense.

    Anyone?

"That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, we're ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh -- it's got to be all about job creation too. Shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right track. So healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade, we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, um, scary thing, but 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We've got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that."

Watching it on video, during the segment she looks down at her hands, counting, as if to try and remember all those points she was supposed to be making (without regard for the actual question, of course).

The cynic in me really wants to see her elevated to President, just to sit back with a bucket of popcorn and watch what happens next. That would be entertainment of the highest order.

I keep expecting her to say "such as" and "the Iraqs" and maybe talk about maps. Maybe it's a beauty pageant thing.

I think she has a lot of charm and charisma...look at her campaign speech...she was very prepared for that and did very well. Why is she having such a hard time forming thoughts these days? I swear, I have to watch the videos or read the transcripts several times over just to figure out exactly what it was she was saying. Even then, I'm left confused. What the heck is going on here??

I has a theory. And as usual, I isn't shy about expressin' it.

I think she's been coached into incoherence. On the first interview, they coached the answers so well that she looked downright robotic delivering them. So they gave her "speak natural" lessons - and you see the result.

They've been coaching her for weeks, and THIS is all they've got to show for it?

I think coaching the poor gal at all was a mistake. They're never going to make an actress out of her. They should've just sent her out, let her talk crazy, and dealt with it.

Ah well, on with the debates. Maybe?

That's because she isn't saying anything. She is using snippets of catch phrases and political buzzwords.

    >>What the heck is going on here??<<

She's been over-coached. Instead of listening to and actually responding to a question, she seems to have been coached that EVERY question is a potential minefield. So, she's doing a brain dump with every question, trying to determine which stock answer can be shoehorned in.

In other words, this is what happens when you give the VP nomination to someone you don't know much about, and who is clearly not ready to be a heartbeat away. At this point, I'm not convinced she is qualified to be governor of Alaska, let alone commander in chief.

But all that said, Americans vote based on all sorts of things. Some would view what I just wrote as being "mean". As much as the left gets mocked for voting on "feelings", the right does the very same thing, and they're very good at it. That's why I'm not counting them out.
