The Park Vue is more expensive now but it also has re-modeled clean rooms, a free actual (bacon, eggs, waffles, etc.) breakfast, and a Cold Stone Creamery (providing high quality ice cream for a much cheaper price than The Gibson Girl). Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at the Park Vue. I'm curious if others have had a similiar (or different experience) at this hotel. Thanks in advance, MB

I'd rate HoJo's staff and service as very good to excellent (I had only one bad experience there). I'd prefer HoJo's, but it looks like I'll be going down with a little one again, so the Park View would probably work out better. If I go solo, it'll be HoJo's, unless I can afford the Bonita Tower before they take out the waterfalls. ; - )

Directly across the street on Harbor right across from the pedestrian entrance. The rooms were nice. I had a double queen room, and it had a little refrigerator and a microwave too. Nice, clean bathroom too. There was a complimentary gift basket when we got there, it had wine in it, bottled water, and I think some food items. That was a nice touch. I thought the free breakfast was decent too. Waffles, donuts, toast, cereal, etc. Nice to stop there for a quick breakfast before heading to the park. Great for kids too. And FYI, you can see the top of the Matterhorn while sitting on the patio eating your breakfast The pool was closed for renovations while we were there, so we didn't get a chance to check that out. There wasn't an elevator to the second floor, and we were on the second floor so that was a bit of a pain with a stroller, but we managed. Over all, I thought it was a great place to stay. And I would definitely stay there again.

The staff was attentive and the fruitbaskets impressed everyone. We had four rooms, each with queen beds. Those in the 140 wing had a smaller room than those of us in the 110 wing. Highly recommend the 110 wing (meaning the rooms were numbered in the 110s). Rooms could get a little noisy since it is an older motel, but the beds were so comfy we went to sleep without noticing the noise too much. Again, we'll be happily staying there next time!

Everyone talks up the HoJo's customer service, but they locked us out of the rooms on the 2nd of 6 days because all the keys were misprogrammed, the WiFi was constantly down, housekeeping never brought towels when requested on the days they didn't clean the rooms, they didn't get either wake up call right and the walk is significantly further. I greatly regret my choice and will be returning to the Park Vue- it has a few warts too, but it's a much better value.

Would recommend bottom floor rooms for those with younger kids (like we have) or those who can't manage stairs easily. It's too bad the breakfast room is on the top floor, though.
