Jeff had fought cancer since the age of 1, when he had retinal cancer. This left him blind. He played the guitar with it sitting across his lap. I saw Jeff 3 times by accident, he always seemed to open for or join on stage some of my favorite rock acts in the late 80s like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Little Feat.

I think their predictions are worst case scenario. My aunt passed from lung cancer last year. They gave her 5 months she lived for a little over a year from the diagnosis. When it gets too advanced they stop the treatments.

There is attempted removal, attempted irradiation... but cancer is nasty--it can be chased away somewhere, and appear again somewhere else... at sometimes in places where there is nothing that can be done. Too bad we can't vaccinate against it!
