Pavilion / Entertainment Center at DL Hotel

    I agree it looks dumb today. It's totally out of context now with the marina filled in and all of the landscaping around it. Surely they are going to do something with it to at least hide it a bit.

    The DL Hotel should have been demolished and re-imagined. The architectural styles of the towers never really matched each other but their differences are even more glaring with the new blue color scheme. I just don't know what they're thinking.

    I just hope the new Tahitian Terrace inspired place is as tiki-cool as it can be.

    Constance, the marina was removed about 12 years ago. They filled the whole thing in and built a pool there. About half of the buildings remained, in lightly disguised form, around the perimeter of the property.

    It was all once part of a broader theme the hotel got in the early 1970's called "Seaports of the Pacific". It was wildly unique and very fun for the time, but rather kitschy and a tad garish by 21st century standards.
