A new PM would have to be part of a new exciting Tomorrowland otherwise it would be ho-hum and a waste of money.

If the future is nothing but speed and noise, I'm not sure I want to visit it. The positives of the Peoplemover outweigh the negatives. You sat in a vehicle with just your loved ones. No annoyingly loud conversations behind your head. You had a "second story" view of Tomorrowland. Aside from the closed Disney Gallery, and the exclusive Club 33, this was an amazingly sweet treat. Finally, in a design sense, it added movement to Tomorrowland. I know this might sound trivial, but the Imagineers designed Tomorrowland to have constant movement; the Subs passing by, the Peoplemover moving over your head, the Monorail swooping past. It was like a massive, futuristic toy train set.

However, I really enjoy Storybook and the Mark Twain for exactly the reasons you have provided-it is a nice break from the rides that provide constant stimulation. I really like the thrill rides but it is the variation of attractions that makes Disneyland special. I also like the idea of being above everything and looking down.

In its final years not many people rode the thing, and I do agree that bringing it back is the wrong move. TL desperatly needs something new and fresh up on those tracks. And no, I don't have any ideas. All I know is that I wouldn't want a re-hash of something from years ago...

There are more vandals than good users, or so it seems. Better still, save your sanity and avoid that accursed site altogether. You'll thank me later.
