At an Eagles game at the Vet about 30 years ago, back when uniformed Philly cops were the only security, 5-6 cops used billie-clubs on a guy and beat him to a pulp. He was so badly beaten he couldn't walk by himself. So they just threw him on top of one of the stadium trained horses and led him away. Now THAT was a deterrent to not run on the field. I was 7-8yo at the time and I can still picture it as clear as day.

You can't take that chance. We're not in the Morgana era anymore.

He should have never done that in the first place. You take your chances when you throw yourself on the field like that. He'd of been safer ONLY if he were a streaker.( those were the good ol days huh?) No where to hide anything of harm ( for the most part anyways) lol I highly doubt that kid wanted to go kissing the team. Morgana is completely different, that woman can barely run due to her, ahem "assets" and shes been known as the Kissing Bandit for years anyways.

And I know if you run onto the field during Packer game if you have season tickets or you're using someone elses tickets, those tickets are gone forever.
Originally Posted By plpeters70 << It's not long lasting and has no lasting effects to him.>> That's not always true, you know. There have been stories of people dying after being tasered - usually beacause of some pre-existing condition, but it does happen and isn't always safe. Now, do I think this guy deserved it - of course! BUT, I'm not sure I agree with the widespread use of tasers these days. Granted, the other options in these cases - tackling, billy clubs, etc - aren't exactly safe either, so I guess you just have to take your chances if you want to do something stupid like this!

I'm tired of the guilty becoming vicitms in our society. Do something wrong...pay the consequences.

Pre-existing condition. He made the choice to do what he did. They did what they did to protect the players. In this day it is absolutly rediculous to take chances like that. Seems that people don't have self control over themselves or know how to use thier brain when it comes to common sense. As wahooskipper said... Do something wrong...pay the consequences.

The injuries that football players suffer when in full gear are bad enough - think of the damage that could happen if they took a hit without the protective gear. *shudder*
