I, for one, can't wait to see what the Mark Twain replica looks like!!

Will it be worth it to you to purchase it, and still have to modify it yourself?

Seriously, I've come to the realization that I have gone way overboard with the accumulation of things. I'm not even enjoying most of it, as it's all stored in boxes. Ever see the documentary Affluenza? That's what I am recovering from.

Oh, I know what you mean!! I've gotten to the point that if I buy something new, something old has to go!

I just sold off a ton of stuff I had in storage on Ebay. I realized that I would never display it, and what kind of fun was it packed away in boxes?

I have to be VERY selective now, and know exactly where something will go before I buy it.

It defeats the purpose, to me. I have to train myself though, since I tend to be a packrat!

You had to say trains. I love trains. I wanted that 50% off Disneyland monorail model. I've got a bunch of N-scale models of Shinkansen and TGV trains. I WANT MORE ARRRRGHHHH!!!

Something with lots of different materials, chosen because they best suit whatever's being portrayed, seems much more appealing to me than an item that is just one big hunk of resin, or whatever. Not that the house itself isn't well done. But when it's just one big molded piece, that says two things to me. 1) It says that Disney was trying to do it as cheap as possible. 2) It says that they wanted it to be just a good representation of the House, not some sort of scale model- more sculpture than miniature.

Wheras something like the Barker Bird did the opposite. Buy using various materials (for the collar and Tie, the tail feathers, and the beak being seperate pieces), they were able to do a nicer, more convincing reproduction than if they had just molded the thing in one big piece (which they could have easily done).

The house is not a bad piece, but this is one I'll probably wait and buy when it's 50% off.

At least I hope not.. cause then I would have to agree with gurgitoy2.
