I don't even know if they will have room for us anyway, I won't rely on Picocchio's Workshop. I read that there is room for 12 kids, sometimes more if they have the staff. GCH guests get first dibs on the space and can make ressies 30 days ahead and then if room PPH and DLH guests can sign up same day(no ressies). The park closes at 8pm while we are there and usually my niece will watch them, but now that she just turned 21 we'd like to take her out 1 or 2 nights too.

Maybe if they have room they could observe your son for a bit and if he seemed comfortable there, maybe they'd let him stay. It couldn't hurt to try Otherwise, for sure have your niece babysit one night and have fun

And he is potty trained and well behaved(most of the time ) too. As said above, it couldn't hurt to try, unless your son is the type to get upset if he thinks he's getting something and doesn't. When we went on our last trip my DD got upset when she was told she couldn't go to PW, because we had plans to leave the property. (To use PW, you are required to remain on DL Resort property. I can understand it a bit, but some parts of DL are farther away from PW than some off property hotels and restaurants. Oh well.) And just FYI the latest charges are $13 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum, and an additional $5 if a meal is purchased. Good luck, and I hope it all works out. Have a great time!

Do they still give pagers or just ask for your cell phone number? amazedncal- I asked my son today if we could pretend he is 5 yrs old so he can go play at PW with my older son. He said he could play along. But then when a solicitor came to the door he blurted out "I'm three!" to a perfect stranger. We may have to work on him a little bit before the trip. Maybe for his Bday I'll put a 5 on his cake and tell him he is actually 5..he skipped 4 this year. Just kidding! He has been potty trained for over a year now, thanks to my DL bribe last year. "Pull-ups aren't allowed in DL because they could leak on the rides so you have to potty trained if you want to ride anything" Worked like a charm! He goes to preschool all week, so that won't be an issue. mickeynewe- no worries! I didn't take it that way at all. I just feel a little like a hypocrit for giving him a time out yesterday for his lie he told about brushing his teeth when he hadn't.

We could spend the money on doing fun things instead of these Pull-Ups,ok?" He said "Ok, Mommy..I don't need those anymore, and I can't go to Disneyland if I wear them." And within a few weeks he was potty trained. Maybe a night time accident here and there but that was it.

I had a hard time (or so I thought) training our daughter when she was younger. I wanted her to start pre-school, but they wouldn't allow children unless they were potty trained. She was a little younger, but very bright. Couldn't figure out for the life of me why she wasn't potty trained since we were trying so hard at home. UNTIL -- I found out that the daycare she went to (which shall remain nameless because it would be well recognized) found it easier to let them go in their diapers/pullups than bother to take them to the restroom! I was hopping mad when I found out. No wonder the poor child was confused! Well, I registered her for pre-school, took a week of work, had her potty trained and she happily started her "big school", which she dearly loved! LOL, although I think I still would have accomplished it MUCH quicker with your method. She was a Disney baby from age 6 months and went 3-4 times a year before she started school, so I know it would have worked on her! I think you shout patent the idea! *silly grin*

We thought about having him say he was 5, but decided against it. We don't want to teach the kids to lie just to get something they want. (Our personal decision. That is not meant to judge anyone) It was hard to pass up though. A few hours without the kids at DL is priceless. Yes, they still give out the pagers. I think that way they know the pager works when issued, and they don't have to rely on the guests cell phones.
