Pirates of the Caribbean suite at Disneyland Hotel ________________________________________ June 2007 - “Pirates of the Caribbean Suite†has just been completed. It is located at the Sierra Tower on the 11th floor. It was formerly one of the Presidential Suites, one bedroom of which is the now defunct Princess Diaries Suite. The two bedroom suite is designed to immerse guests in the world of the “Pirates of the Caribbean†theme park attractions and movies. It has decor and furnishings themed to the world of pirate ships with modern conveniences. You enter through the heavy oak double doors, with lanterns flickering. If you ring the doorbell, inside you will hear some famous vocals from the attraction, including the attractions theme song "Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirates life for me". As you walk through the doorway, a portrait of Captain Jack Sparrow greets you in the entryway. Once inside, the room contains Persian rugs, dark-hardwood floors, and en beams overhead that add to the Pirate atmosphere. Even though it has an aged look, such as Spanish colonial-style furnishings, it provides a wet bar, a 42 inch plasma TV and surround sound audio system. The Captain’s Quarters (master bedroom) will feature a canopied four-poster bed with cast iron lighting fixtures and will include decorative artwork inspired by the “Pirates of the Caribbean†attractions and films. Modern amenities will also be furnished in the Master bath that will include a Jacuzzi tub and steam shower. Treasures can be found in the room too .. under locked display cases. Some of the "treasures" will be: a replica of Captain Jack Sparrow’s revolver, rare pirate figurines from the Walt Disney Classics Collection, a lithograph signed by Disney legend “X†Atencio, and a replica of Davy Jones’ Dead Man’s Chest. Another feature of the suite is its unique views. It has great views of the Never Land Pool below, and through its large dining room windows which are facing north, the suite provide views of Disneyland Park’s firework shows. The suite is only available to book by calling our Disneyland Resort Central Reservations Office because it cannot be booked through a travel agent or on-line. Currently the Suite will not be part of any normal contracted vacation packages. To experience this one of a kind Disney experience, it will cost roughly $2,500 per night and any one can book the Pirate Suite The room can accommodate up to 6 Guests for sleeping, but can hold more Guests for many types of gatherings.

And people call the Marriott Vacation Club/DVC expensive. I bet the suite is smaller than my unit and one week at the Pirate's suite is 80% of my 75 year ownership aye yi yi

This does make you think though, if that's what they charge for the Pirate Suite, what would they charge for the Dream Suite in NOS?
