-Ditto. The Bayou is dark night and day. Dark enough to never see the celing no matter what time of day or night you enter the attraction.

What amazes me is just how realistic the AA's are on POTC. Every time I float by what's supposed to be that restaurant on the bayou, I swear that the AA's that are positioned at the tables as if they were eating a meal look just like real people. How do they do that?

I was just wondering if that is still so, If anyone else is keen enough and has been on the ride enough times to tell the difference.

Yah, I guess. I wasn't there at the same time, so I really have no idea if the lights were turned up. I was on it a few weeks ago and didn't notice anything different. From my personal experience, however, it does look quite different when I go on it after its been dark outside for a while. I don't have any information as to a reason that they would turn the lights up, so I was offering a possible reason that it might have looked different. Just trying to help figure it out and get the discussion going, but, as with most of these discussions, the hard facts are pretty hard to come by.

And in the 90s, you could easily see the ceiling.

Unless you enter DL when it opens and run for POC, chances are, you're going to be waiting in line, inside, for more than a few minutes. Just sayin...

I've been on it hundreds of times as have others and go on it simply because it's fun.

There can be very minor changes in the water levels, but it is dependent on how many boats are in the bayou and waiting to unload.

There are places throughout the ride that the water level is sometimes up to a certain mark and others times it falls below it. It's really no big deal. Just an observation is all.

<<There can be very minor changes in the water levels, but it is dependent on how many boats are in the bayou and waiting to unload.>>

Thats a good reason for it, but it's still noticeable to some that go on it alot. Not nit picking at all, as I said ,just an observation.
As for being errant, I don't see how I was. I was just saying that someitmes we notice things that others don't on rides. It's not anything to gripe about for most. I go on the rides for pure enjoyment, but notice things change sometimes due to going on it so much. It's the same with missing characters in POTC or the the apple changing from the donkeys mouth back to the bowl from time to time. Wich doesn't happen anymore . But those who go on it alot, notice things like that. It's fun.

It doesn't ruin it, unless you let it.I am not one tohave anything ruin my ride. They are just fun to go on and let your daily cares be tossed away for a few hours. :)

I love the ride, it is cool in the summer and a great down time ride to rest a bit and enjoy. A few months back, my DF & DD & I were on the ride and they let us ride twice because the ride was empty. So we had the boat to ourselves and got to make rounds twice!! It was spectacular...especially since there was no one in any of the boats around us either. Talk about having a personal ride!!

If you eat at the Blue Bayou, watch for shadowy figures walking along the back wall. Those are the Pirates CM's going to lunch or the restroom. It's the only way in or out for CM's, and has been that way since 1967, although it was once taboo to run through there according to the old timers. The construction of the Indy queue in '94 now prevents CM's from using any other access to facilities.
