There is always this weird panic and exaggeration of how it's going to be, but thankfully it RARELY comes into play how people think this stuff will happen. The biggest example was the 50th anniversary where people were litterally camped out to get in the night before the rest of us breezily walked right in. Look at all the heavy discussion with the Nemo lines. Yeah, it probably will be long, certainly at the beginning, but people talk about it like it's going to be a 5 hour line, all day, everyday, until now and the final day of summer. I'm thinking NOT . But, we shall see .

It hasn't opened yet, but people are convinced these lines will be hour upon hours for years to come when truthfully no one knows yet. People were shouting how bad the Monsters Inc line was at the beginning and how can they open such a popular attraction without Fast passes?? People thought it was going to like that for a long time. Well, a year later, I hear it's only 15 minute waits for it now. Nemo will have it's mad rush of people clamoring for it, no doubt, but things will adjust and then the pattern will fall to a reasonable time, like they ALL do. Also, it depends on the ride itself. If it's REALLY good, the lines will stay for awhile. If it's just okay or decent, it will fall to standard line waiting and then busy in the busier periods. BUT I doubt, it's going to be 3-4 hours everyday, all day, between now and the time the troops pull out of Iraq .
