We hurried again this morning as we had priority seating at Storyteller's at 7:40. Got there around 7:35 and got seated immediately. We'd been dying to eat here all week, but our budget wouldn't allow it except for the one meal. It was great. As soon as we sat down the little bear (Koa?) from Brother Bear was there and so was Chip. Terk followed, who made my husband turn 10 shades of red. She decided to practically tackle him and kiss him! She has these huge plastic lips and I think she may have hurt him. Ha ha. We say Kenai (sp?), the ranger, Dale, and Meeko too. The Ranger was impressed my husband knew that Kenai (sp again?) was a town in Alaska and he'd been there. The food was great and the staff was SO wonderful with the kids. I loved their potatoes and went back for seconds. I had a huge amount of fresh fruit too. Yuuummmmy! Got into Disneyland right at 9:00 for opening. We dropped off our luggage at the desk beforehand and had plenty of time to go over. We got to Toontown, just as they were starting the festivities. We were a ways back, but could see good enough. Got our Morning Madness button. Didn't wait in line for autographs this time. The kids weren't into it this trip and had seen lots of characters that morning. They both wanted to ride the Gadget Go Coaster, so Mark went with them. I hung out in the sun and watched some little kid's faces as they rode their first roller coaster. I could tell there were a lot of them. Some looked scared to death. I remember my daughter crying the first time, that was 4 years ago and now she is my daredevil! The line had gotten pretty big by now, so we went to Space Mt. and got fast passes and then went to Buzz. We all rode and improved our scores, except Mark, who got less holding Brandt. We all rode Space one last time. Me and the kids ended up doing the standby line, and the rest of the family rode with fast passes. The line was only 20 minues for stand by, but had gotten longer by the time we had gotten off. We all love that ride. The kids needed to eat now and we didn't have any ideas. I just wanted a hot dog, but they didn't. Then I suggested a skewer at Bengal BBQ. No luck. Kids turned up their noses. We just went into River Belle and Mark and I split a sandwich and the kids got kids meals. Ally cleaned her plate, but Jacob didn't. We fed him fruit snacks to tide him over. We sat and watched the hustle and bustle of the DLer's for a bit and then said goodbye to Disneyland. Went to DCA one last time. Went right over to Screamin' and went right on. No line whatsoever! Jacob and Mark rode. Jacob said he'd had enough, but I wanted to ride, so he rode again. I am always so scared, but it's so fun. Went and rode GRR. Ally and Jacob rode twice and Ally got drenched both times! Luckily, we were able to get to our bags and change her clothes before we left. Caught the 2:45 shuttle and got to LAX early. HAd plenty of time to hit Starbucks and McDonald's before taking off. Got into Portland about 8:30. They didn't get my luggage on the plane for some reason. It followed and got to Portland at 10:30 that night. I didn't see it until morning. I was pretty disappointed, but survived it all. I had it before 10:00, so that was good. Anyway, it was great. Loved the Grand. Missed somet things. Never rode Star Tours, did Muppets, or saw Block Party Bash. Block Party was always during Jacob's mealtime! Didn't see the Light Parade, but we weren't really disappointed about that. All in all, it was great. Crowds were bad on Saturday too. We will try and stay at the Grand next time, but try to not be there on a Saturday if we can help it. We will definately try and go before Brandt turns 3! He did great this time though! Thanks for sharing in my trip. I love Disneyland so much and love having my family there to share these wonderful memories with me. I can't wait to plan another one!
