Poll: Why a Disneypark fan

    It has occurred to me, although I have always loved Disney, I am now more of a Disney historian than a fan. I am excited about a few things on the horizon, but most of what the parks do today make me shrug. However, I am trying to see if I am in a minority or not. Ideally I would like this to be used for voting rather than debating (we could open a second thread for that), but I am keen to review your motivation for the parks and I am trying to be objective. So please, if you can stick to one of the overriding options I present below. I love (or loved) Disney parks for the:

    1. overall themed environments that look at attention to detail of music, architecture, attractions, and menues. I love that it takes me to a different place.

    2. experience where I can see my favorite characters from film and TV. I can ride the rides or watch the films that bring them back to life or explore the characters in new ways.

    3. parks are a place where there is something for everyone and is a vacation we all enjoy together.

    4. it is convenient (near to me/we always ago/we all agree) and good value for money. Maybe there is a sense of nostalgia.

    Please let me know your thoughts.

    Mickey Morris and Love DCA, could you please humour me and cast a single vote for options 1,2,3, or 4? for arguement sake, I would say that shows could come under 1 if it is for the quality and showmanship or 2 if you like seeing characters perform. Thanks.

    It's #1 for me Dave but we only visited for the first time in 2005 so we missed the glory years everyone talks about. Also we have nothing that even remotely touches the quality of DL here in Australia so we are probably easier to please lol.
