I definitely have to go with Mufasa. Sad Simba gets me. It doesn't get any more sad than a crying lion cub! :(

    What about:

In classic Disney, which is sadder:

Bambi's mom dying or the "Baby Mine" scened in Dumbo?

Here's another question, regarding one of my favorite continuity errors:

Princess Aurora with Blue eyes or Brown eyes?

Bambi's mother. Both are dramatic but the tension is immense in the Bambi scene -- a quieter menace mixed with the helplessness that her death won't ever be avenged in any way. It happens in a more realistic way, and we know man is to blame, compounding the anguish we feel.

    >>Bambi's mom dying or the "Baby Mine" scened in Dumbo?<<

Ugh! That's a tough one! I think Bambi's mom dying is more traumitizing to people who see it at a young age (by that I mean decades later, people remember the emotions it brings up instantly -- it ranks up there with the shower scene in Psycho as a movie scene that leaves an indelible mark).

But that said, I can't imagine very many people being able to watch the "Baby Mine" sequence and not need half a box of Kleenex!

Yeah, she's got brown eyes the entire movie, except in the close-up when she's waking up.

I have to go with the Land Before Time. Cuter characters, original take on the story, and great 2D animation.

    - Never seen the Jedi stuff.
    - The Sorcerer's Hat, definitely.
    - Golden Ears. The lights are just annoying - when they work.
    - The Indy hat. At least you can wear it outside of DL!
    - Truffles (yum!)
    - All of the posters (although I own a WDW HM poster)
    - Neither. I want Mickey back on the 1!
    - Chicken Little. I never even saw Valiant.
    - Keychain. (And shame on you - you know they're toothpick holders, not shot glasses.) ;)
    - Don't confuse me, bigbrian - I collect all four! :)
    - Dinosaur, if only because I've never seen TLBT.

And one more to throw into the mix:

July 17th Golden Ears or YOAMD Cloud Ears?
