Newer studies show that after a short period of time, we actually recreate our memories each time we recall and remember them. It's not at all unlikely that someone would remember hearing the music, remember and old man sitting on the porch, and then create a memory of him holding a banjo. In their mind, it's as real as 2+2=4. Sorry for the detour, but I'm absolutely fascinated by the concept of memory. We now return you to our regularly scheduled posts about POTC.
