Victorian eligance, details, lighting, clapboard, colors, landscaping, new and re-done attractions. 3. Extend Grizzly Peak Forrest area through atleast Condor Flats if not further in a newly re-done grand entry way. Condor Flats would take on the California Redwood forrest theme, although some of the air-field themeing could stay to include Soarin, just with a new airfield location. Condor Flats is just too small of an area to really give a whole lot of depth to it, expanding Grizzly area would really give Grizzly Peak a stronger punch, with strong themeing. 4. Grizzly Peak area itself goes under the knife for a more Teddy Rosevelt National Park feel, versus the country rafting TODAY feel. This includes sightingsof Grizzly on Grizzly River Run, and a variety of other animals like snake, Racoon, Skunk, Bobcat, Deer and more, animitronics. And a small off the beaten path attraction would be included. Maybe a pan-for-gold attraction, maybe slow moving mine train(i know, Thunder right?) actually throught the mountain, or a walk through mine with lots of Gold, or even a bear cave where you see and hear Grizzly bear. 5. Sunset Blv. in Hollywoode would go under major surgery and would include a grand lobby for the Hyperion Theater, and new street set for the Sunset side-street that leads to Tower, and the only traces of "backlot" would really be pushed back to just that square where Muppets, the little show area behind the Hollywood St. sets, and Monsters Inc. surrently sit. 6. Transformation of the Sunshine Plaza into a classic time-period 1920's era, Transportation Depo. With Trains that steam(even if just for show, even though Disnaland has a train across the way).old convertable limo's would take you down Hollywood Blv, National Park jeeps/shuttles would take you to Grizzly Peak National Park area, and the trolley would take you over to the bay and right into San Fransisco Square. 7. And Flicks Fun Fairs main entry would no longer be the main entry, main entry would be held through a new passage built out through the Disney Animation Building. Secondary entrances would be through a Disney Studio front "building" along the new Sunset Blv. leading to Tower, and also the current main entry way would probably be salvaged if not slightly tempored with to accomodate people coming from all angles. 8. The current Its tough to be a Bug show would be averted into Flicks Fun Fair area, leaving room to destroy the bountiful valley farm and re-tooling to create a larger expanded Golden Vine Winery. So what do you guys think? What would you change or do?

Honestly, other than looking at Lutz's website every few months saying the NEXT BOLD CHANGE TO DCA AS WE KNOW IT!!!! nothing is ever heard about it again until he comes out with something else. I know a poster around here have been saying what's being considered and not, but really, the park is 6 years old now, how long does it take just to HAVE a plan set at least??

So it doesn't matter where you mingle or in what order you enter the theater. But at the Hyperion, the seats are general admission. If people are hanging out in a lobby, what would be in place so that someone who had been waiting an hour would be admitted sooner and get a better seat than someone who has been waiting fifteen minutes, or someone who just walked up? Would it have to be a beautiful lobby where you are stuck in your place in line for the duration of the wait? This would be the system used now, just moved to a more pleasant, indoor setting. Any suggestions, anyone?

First come, first serve. They could set it up like the fast pass system where you scan your entrance media and it gives you a ticket and eliminate the need for a CM to man the box office window where they would just hear complaint after complaint from people not getting the seat they want.

DCA is not Disneyland but it's still Disney and it's a great park that the people here who bash it don't have to go. Nobody is forcing you. I LOVE IT !!!

Originally Posted By FerretAfros I like the idea of the entrance to the bug's land from the Animation Building. This may present some problems based on the current layout of the two, but I think it could also be made to work. As for leaving the ITTBAB theater, they could rearrange the entrance and exit so they are switched, making the queue a long themed path (they do have a fairly long one now, but the new one would be more linear and less winding), and the exit could give the option of exiting to the main area or back to a bug's land. Switching them would allow for a narrow path for both, as there wouldn't be any two way traffic. This would also free up a lot of space between the current queue area and the rest of the farm stuff. However, it would have to have some moveable walls somewhere (most likely the ITTBAB queue and exit), since they would need an access road to the Sunshine Plaza for parades. The only problem I see coming from this is that it would bring a lot more traffic into the already congested HPB area, and a lot of people through the Animation Building without really making them slow down to appreciate it, which could damage the quality of new stuff put in there. As for the Hyperion, I really like the idea of FP style tickets, but perhaps adding options of which show time at least, and maybe even which level (since I know a lot of people prefer the Mezanine for Aladdin). It would slow the operations down a little, but I don't think it would make it terribly slow. For a lobby, I would place it in the current waiting area (with the "box office" area either under a covered area or just inside the door), and have the main focus be a grand staircase leading to all the levels. After the first 11 steps (as I heard them announce several times) there would be a landing for the orchestra seating, and then it would go up further before splitting into smaller areas due to size and need constraints. There would obviously also be elevators for wheelchair access, but they would not be the main focus. I would also include bathrooms, but since the ticketing system would eliminate the need for long waits for the most part, they wouldn't need to be huge.

Maybe they feel a few more big rides will do the trick? Otherwise, I can't figure out why those things haven't happened. Unless of course, they are just pure rumors. <gasp!>
