Greed and corruption have toppled most empires since the dawn of civilization, why should America be any different?
America IS a plutocracy, owned by a bunch of heartless snakes.

Driving home though only 20 minutes away we have people who live on the street and people who can barely afford their trailers, and the people who camp in the park. It's really a hard adjustment to see every day.

I think if any of us were really honest with ourselves we would discover that if we were in the "super rich" category we would be pretty happy with the way things are. I all depends on what angle you are looking from.

Naturally the super rich are quite happy with the situation.

The simple fact, though, is that the vast percentage of human beings on Earth do NOT fall into that category, most far from it.

So why do voters consistently vote to aid and assist the super rich? In a Democracy, you would think voters would be a lot smarter than that!

Of course you can. There are socialist (or mixed) democracies all over the world. This myth that you can't have both is just a way of trying to convince us that we shouldn't try to change what has become a rigged game and an intolerable status quo. But we should.

    Definitely.

For the right wingers, they love to deride "European Socialism", but America has a mix as well.

If not, there would be no public fire departments. Or libraries.

Or, for that matter, police and disaster relief workers.
