I thought that was a pretty great bargain. Every night they have free ice-cream. A cable car stop is right outside the front door of the hotel, and the BART station to the airport was only 4 blocks away. It was very handy, and smack dab in the middle of shopping and eateries. Of course we spent most of our time at the wharf and it's vicinity.

If you're staying around Union Square, there are two buses (2 Clement and 3 Jackson) on Post and Sutter, which connect with the 43 Masonic bus on Presidio Blvd. The 43 bus has a stop right in front of Lucas. It's a short walk from Lucas to the WDFM. I've taken the 43 several times to the Presidio. It's an easy transfer and much cheaper than a SF taxi, if there are fewer than four passengers.
