But like the pp said, there's no guarantee which hotel you'll get. We've encountered a 2 1/2 * hotel that wasn't going to budge on the "double occupancy". I "only" had 4 kids then and we wound up with one King sized bed! Needless to say, we "camped out"- thankfully it was only for one night. Priceline is great for 2 people but a little risky for us with big famiies when you are naming your own price. JMO....

We used the multi-bid tips and have always got good pricing we were very happy with. There will be some fees added to your bid. The hotels have been accomadating with placing other families (PL bidders)in adjoining rooms too. I am not sure how much the convention business, say at a Hyatt, reduces the available rooms they use for PL, but it might be a factor in rates and availability.
