    They really do need to look at the number of stores, what exactly they're selling, and who they're selling to.

    Gap seems to be stuck in a bit of a rut.

To me, it always seems filled wall-to-wall with very look-alike merchandise. 85 different colors of the same T-shirt for $30 each, many with the word "GAP" across the front. Various jeans.     I don't know what is unique about it, or appealing. It doesn't strike me as an especially upscale brand that people would want to pay to be associated with (like current trendy American Eagle, Hollister, etc).

    I don't get it, and even back when I was in The Gap's target age group, I just didn't understand why I'd want to shop there.

    It's just interesting that he applied the same practices at the GAP and they backfired just as much as they did at Disney. It sounds like he's just been in the wrong positions at the wrong companies. He's a numbers guy and needs to be at a place where that works...just not creative places like entertainment or fashion...
