I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you get any dining discounts unless you purchase a discount card. The AP rates at the resort hotels can be quite good though.

The reason I ask about the lap baby is I read an old post awhile ago and someone said just to wait until you arrived at the airport to deal with having a lap baby, I think, so you could still check in online at home. But I can't find it now, and things might be different. I did read you could buy AP's at the guest kiosk at Downtown Disney, so with free parking that's perfect. And on another site, they did say there were some dining discounts and I just wondered if anyone had experience with this.
