Question about Vintage WDW logo- with Florida Flag

    I've seen a few older Disneyana items from WDW that have the classic WDW typeface, but also a little flag on top that says In Florida, or Florida (I don't remember which). Does anyone know the story on this version of the logo? How long it was used? I almost wonder if it was only used on merchandise sold outside the parks, sort of to remind people where WDW was. Anyone have any info? Thanks in advance.

    Here's one example. Seems I've also seen a version that says "In Florida" but I can't seem to find that right now...

    God I miss the old logo so so so so so so so much!! I hate it that it was changed to the generic Walt-font style instead. Each park should have it's own classic signature and identity.

    (Ok so i'd like AE back, and I actually *enjoyed* Horizons, but I guess i'm in the minority.

    As for logos I still associate WDW with the old logo, Disneyland with the old script, and EPCOT Center (sic) with all the cool old symbols, but that's just me.

    Look what I know, I don't beleive in management by PowerPoint/Excel but that's just me.
