Here's my issue - My WDW trip isn't until OCT 2013 and it's all I can think about!!! So I thought maybe if I started making the scrapbook now I can harness some of this excitement and really have one hell of a book (since I'm spending a year to make it LOL) once I'm done.

Have any of you ever made a scrapbook BEFORE you went on a trip? I guess what I'm asking is am I setting myself up for a scrapbook failure, or will it be ok since I know what we will be doing, where we will be eating, etc.

How would I go about it? Just make sure I have 4x6 mat spaces and not cut the pics (when I get them) into various shapes? Or should I just leave spaces that are at least 4x6 and determine how to crop the pics later?

I haven't scrapped in so long and I really miss it.

But maybe, you don't know how many or what type of orientation you would do for a parade, so you could save those to do later.

Or you could half a layout. The countries in Epcot might be a good example. You could completely make one page, with one or two 4x6 spots, title and then have an "empty" second page, where all you have is the background paper, that you can fill in when you have pictures in hand.

Autopia Deb, I also like the idea of constructing the page and then leaving the picture spots loosely attached. That way I can make any adjustment I need without too much hassle.

I think I am going to find a way to merge both of your ideas. Scrapbooking can get expensive, so this will also help cost wise if I take a year to do it ;)

I think for an actual scrapbook, I would have a hard time doing it before hand. What I would do is just buy papers and embellishments and start planning the pages in my head. That way you can buy a little bit here and there over the next year and it would spread out the cost, but you wouldn't be tied down to a particular format that might not work with the pics you end up with.

    1) We've now added a Disney cruise to our WDW trip making me even more excited

    2) Today is the official first day of changing my eating habits so I can frolic aimlessly with no worries in the Bahamas, so I need something to keep me busy so I don't keep eating LOL
