Spectromagic will be hard to top in my eyes though. My favorite parade of all-time (w/ Zero to Hero being in 2nd).

Hopefully this means that an all new nighttime parade is in the works (possibly to be announced at D23?), but I'm not holding my breather

Since there are very few publically known projects coming up (Avatarland? Is that really happeneing? Anything else?), I'm pretty concerned about the near future for DLR and WDW, since both have some pretty glaring issues.

At the very least, I'd hope they will show us some pretty pictures for Shanghai, but I'm skeptical about that too. Seems like another division where Iger is getting ready to make his 2015 exit with no real strategy for what to do after he's gone (see also: live-action studios)

From a creative point of view TWDC will be worse when he leaves than it was after Eisner.

WDW Co. have been against nighttime parades for years - too expensive to operate and guest control nightmares for MK. It is a shame that that attitude has prevailed for so long.

Oh no, really? I thought that the sing-songy theme was dreadful:

    On this magic night,
A million stars will play beside us,
    A special spell of light,
    Glimmering, shimmering, carousel-ling
    'Round the world tonight,
    A symphony in SpectroMagic.
    Pure enchantment lights our way!

Score - can agree that the lyrics are hokey but then the broad theme is rather hokey any how. I really like John Debney's score. He did do Phantom Manor too. I don't think his movie scores are particularly great though. He is a huge Disney fan though - his dad was a producer at the Studios (I think he worked on the Mickey Mouse Club) and he has never lived any where but Glendale - he has a prominent imagineer on either side of his house overlooking the town!
