You always have the opportunity to vote them out. I the votes want their Rep to stay there 50 years, so be it.

Since 2010 the GOP across the nation have introduced 326 bills restricting women's access to healthcare including cancer screenings, women's employment rights, women's reproductive rights and reducing protections from domestic violence. And we all know how the GOP has rallied against gays. This year it's a contest to see who can out anti-gay each other.

In addition to what dshyates said, the GOP has been aggressively making abortion harder to obtain in state after state. If making it illegal is unconstitutional (which is still the case), they've nonetheless made it extremely hard to get in many states (some of whom have only one abortion provider in the whole state). They've also introduced measures to make it more difficult to get birth control, and this is separate from the question of who pays for it. Measures such as allowing pharmacists to not fill the duly doctor-ordered prescription if they have a "moral objection." Not much of a problem in large urban areas, but in rural areas - yeah, a problem.
