NEVER in my entire life have I heard of this. and when RDTC started..I happened to look over and see that a group of people were sitting there..and when the lights went back on I glanced over to see if it was anyone famous...but no one from what I could tell. So i had to watch the show with a giant partner's statue blocking my view of the castle. ANYONE know when they started doing this...and how i can do this? if it's possible.

I used to stand along the railing there to watch RDCT but when I was there in March, cast members asked us to move, as they now need to keep the area clear so traffic could move through. However, the next night we were allowed stand there, even though the ropes were up. The cast member I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about when I told him about having to move the previous night.

I told him I'd meet him in the covered queue for Playhouse Disney. The Castmembers kicked me out because it was "reserved seating" for the parade. I asked how you people got on the reserved seating list. She said you had to buy a certain kind of package. (Makes sense, Disney encourages you to pay more, go through them, and, as a perk, give you something that costs them near nothing--maybe the salary of the castmember guarding the seating for an hour.)

A while ago, Christmas of '06?, when the electrical parade was at DCA we were in guest relations for a random reason--a saw one of the guest relations cast members with a "reserved" list in front of her for the electrical parade. There were very few names on the list. We asked how to get on the list, she told us the same thing, that it was for vacation package buyers, but then asked us if we wanted reserved seating too. We said, "of course", so she added us to the list, and said something about it being one of the million dreams. I don't think it's something you can expect, but if it's fairly empty and you don't seem too entitled, and you have an "empowered" cast member in guest relations, you just *may* be able to get yourself added to the list. I would try this tack in Guest Relations though--not with cast members guarding the benches.
