The Mr. Cruise b-day story reminds me of an old Monorail day, back during DCA construction. Michael, Paul, Cynthia and a gaggle from WDI were touring the construction, and we at Monorail were given explicit instructions that we were to make sure they had ample non-Guest-filled Monorail seating including the nosecone when they arrived between noon and 2:00 p.m., I think it was.

So, with EVERY train that came in, we held the nosecone and door 1-1 until the last possible second, then sent it flying as fast as we could to try to get the next one in--which we would hold as long as we could, then fill the front in a flash and send it as fast as possible, hoping that the next train would arrive before The Entourage got there. (This was all at the DTD Station, by the way--not in Tomorrowland.)

Some of the CMs were freaking out, and one stated emphatically that should couldn't possibly drive the train in with all those big-wigs in there with her. I offered to drive.

Finally, after about 2 hours of this nonsense (I had rotated into the park and back out to DTD again), The Entourage came up the exit--and we actually had a train in the station, waiting to go! We had held the nosecone and door 1-1 as we were supposed to! It was perfect!

The Entourage shuffled along the station, got to the front of the train, and kept shuffling--right down the emergency exit stairs! As they passed, most of them didn't even glance at the rest of us, though Cynthia flashed me one of her trademark I'm-a-dunderhead-but-I'm-so-sweet smiles, and they vanished! Nary a word passed between us!

We weren't very thrilled, to say the least.
