They aren't cancelling the shows or acts, but simply relocating them to other areas, as the main drag there will be a mess for a while.

It's possible that they will be working on several sections at once, to still allow traffic to cross the street, and they would be able to complete the TOT area before the passageway opens, along with some of the portions along the entrance street.

I suppose it's the 50's or 60's with the Twilight Zone stuff and the era of the TV in the library, but I could be convinced otherwise. Also, what's a hotel doing in the middle of the backlot? And what about a trolly in the backlot? There are lots of little questions that have been around for a while. They happen in any of the areas (why are the plastic cases for instruments on the Frontierland and New Orleans Square balconies? Why is there a tropical lagoon next to an Alpine mountain), and are mostly overlooked. Hopefully they can do enough other work to the area that it seems less like a walled-in theme park ride, and more like an actual street. I'm more concerned about that than the timeline conflicts of the trolley and the attraction.

They already have the arches that were put in a few years ago. Change the main entrance to the area to just "Hollywood" or "Hollywoodland" or something like that.

Truthfully I doubt I would ever even ride the red trolly lol, but having it there really does add to the environment of the place and will make the entrance and HPB more 'lived in'. I always like areas the most that is suppose to represent a real city atmoshere...not the entire park of course, but those areas in the park are usually my favorite. That would probaly explain why NOS at DL and New York Habor at TDS are my two favorite lands more than any ares in any Disney park...because they really have an old city type charm. Main St is great too of course, but not as immersive with a big fat European castle at the end of it lol. Anyway, I hope BOTH BVS and a new spruced up Hollywood area brings this sense of old city charm that was BADLY missing in old DCA. The red trollys are definitely a good step forward!
