The rapids are scheduled to open the day after our last day at the parks, and Space Mountain scheduled to open the week after we leave based on something I saw on Miceage I think. Anyway, not too big of a deal if they are closed, but in your experience, is there much of a chance that an attraction would open a day (or even a week ) early after a refurb? Should I not get my hopes up, or is there a chance?

Since both of these closures are fairly short, it seems unlikely that they'd be done early

By the time a refurb hits that public calendar, I imagine a lot of planning, budgeting, scheduling, etc., has happened to make it work. Odds are it's not changing, and as we've all seen from some of the longer refurbs, they can go over schedule, but usually not under.
