I doubt that it is at the entrance to the property, as the path leading to WOL wasn't that wide, and there are several lanes of traffic going through the current arch there. I can't really remember any arch near the entrance to MK, so I really can't help with that. It seems like it would be more effort than it is worth to make over the sign and transport it to some other place on property, and having to deal with size issues. For some reason, this just doesn't seem very likely to me.

The frame with new color and "MAGIC KINGDOM" name now sits on top of the auto plaza at the MK's parking lot entrance. If I can find pictures from the old WOL sign, I will try to post, but can't promise.. BTW... guests used to walk underneath that old WOL arched sign since it used to be located from one side of the entry walkway to the other, until it was replaced by the smaller and unimpressive sign that still sits there to this day.
Originally Posted By TDLFAN Ooops.. forgot to mention the old WOL sign also featured 3 flags on the top at the center, both those were removed shortly after and the arched sign sat there without those flags until the time it was replaced by the current sign.

It was taken the days before the Wonders of Life Pavillion opened to the public, and the archway was still missing the three pole flags (similar the the flags now sitting on top of WDW's entrance archway structures) but you can see the three vertical pipes that held those flags in this photo behind the Wonders' pink sing. Also notice the DBA Tower structure was not yet installed. Also note the bases holding both edges of the arch were fountains. When the current sign went up, the fountain base on the left was eliminated, and the new sign was installed on top of the fountain on the right. As far as I know, this arched structure is the same one that holds the huge "MAGIC KINGDOM" sign you see on top of the MK auto plaza on World Drive. Of course... I still much prefer the old classic look and "D" logo of the original auto plaza, as opposed to the cartoonish one we have today.
