I was just reminding people to put there flags out if they had one.I have to admit that sometimes I forget and my neighbor will remind me.

    It's not so much about people forgetting as it is the upcoming generation having no idea why 9/11 means so much to those who lived through it.

    My 9th grade students were 2 when it happened. All they know about that day comes from school assemblies and history classes. 99% of them have no personal connection to that day. "Remembering" is just a way of keeping history alive.
