And, so what if someone who we all can see right through insults you? I'm not trying to be argumentative but maybe I just have more of an arm's length approach to the internet. Outside of a couple of people on here I really don't know anybody. So, I just can't get too excited about people I don't know.

There is apparently a history here that brings this recognition about, but to those of us that just post and are not terribly concerned with the personalities of people I wouldn't know if they walked straight into me, we sometimes will "feed the Troll" and not even know or care one way or the other. These are probably personal issues that cause this. I am not immune from getting my buttons pushed either, but I am not looking for it and very seldom see it.
Originally Posted By Mr X ***People cannot come to terms with the fact that without trolls, their time on the Internet would be less enjoyable*** I could live without them very happily thank you very much. In my case, the troll decided to get up close and personal to a VERY important and heart-wrenching issue for me (he's probably pissed off because I've been far less politically-minded lately, and thus decided to goad me). I tried to keep it on "ignore", but a REAL poster asked what was going on, so I told him.

And I still think that's the best advice, particularly if a new troll pops up. This particular troll, though, has been banned from LP, but keeps creating new sock puppets and coming back. That's disrespectful to the mods and owners of LP itself, and they have every right to keep kicking his butt off.

It's not my style (for example, I never "ratted" on DAR (sorry, DAR) way back when even if he ticked me off, because I thought to do so was sort of a crybaby tactic), but in this case I think it's necessary.
