Day two on the job for the President covers torture and gulags, with the first being dedicated to transparency. I like this "theme" idea. ;)

There's roughly (IIRC) 250 prisoners in Gitmo, and each has to be reviewed to see if they're innocent, guilty, etc. If innocent, let them go and be on their way. Most are probably guilty, and they'll have to be reviewed to see if they should have a trial, returned to the custody of another country, etc.

I seriously doubt he is going to just let people go - he knows heaven forbid anyone released comes back to be a future attacker....credibility wise that would be a disaster.

moving along due process is a good thing

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. I've already it heard it said in the press, "...well that's what Israel does." (deporting them back to their country)

Of course not. What they are entitled to is a war crimes trial under international guidelines. How many Nazi's were sympathized with and managed to walk free, anyway?

What is NOT right is indefinite detention without recourse, just because "we" said they belong behind bars.
