See, just as a planter it's more attractive then it was as a giant magic wand.

I did almost the same thing. Only I admired how complicated the structure actually was. It's a shame that it was hated by so many people, but it did wear it's welcome out after the big 2K was over. They should have never put the Epcot signage up. Even though I have to say it was very eye catching at night. I really was hoping they could find a place for the Wand at the entrance to Epcot There were a team of imagineers that put a huge effort into designing the Wand. Had it only stayed up for a year, almost everybody would have fond memories of it now. I never really thought that the average Disney guest hated it at all.

EXAXCTLY. Heh. It did look nice at night, but I'm a sucker for stobes.

Also, I would have liked it moved, too. Put it at the end of the Mono track outside the park. A huge sign post.

    Oh well.

    It's better dead.

Sort of diagonal from the Merfcove across Spaceship Earth. The Merfcove is in front of the Camera Center while these restrooms are right behind Gateway Gifts.

That's exactly correct, MP. It's like the big stupid birthday cake - I could handle it, cuz I knew it was only for a year or so. And they did do a great job with the cake, just like they did with the wand. But what they don't realize is that people want thier icons to remain untarnished by add-ons or coverups. I love approaching Epcot and seeing that big majestic ball waiting for me. To see it with the wand and signage just cheapened the whole look for me.
