My husband and I were on our honeymoon last weekend in WDW. I have vacationed there every year since I was born, and my dad would always bring us strawberry swirls as we were waiting for Spectromagic.

My husband wanted to carry on that tradition, so he went to Fantasyland to get some. About 20 minutes later, he came back to me empty handed.

No more strawberry swirls. He went to city hall to ask why they have been discontinued, their reason was that it was too high in calories. He told them that there would be a crying bride on Main Street, and sure enough there was.

Is anyone else upset about this lose? It's such a shame that I'll never have my favorite ice cream again :(

I want my freaking Fantasia ice cream back at DLR, but it ain't happening either. Because Disney wasn't making enough (by whatever metrics they use) to keep buying a product made exclusively for them.

Rest assured that whatever took the place of this item costs less for Disney to offer.

I'm fat 365 days a year. Its not like I can blame Disney for it because of the 1 week I spend there every year. Heck, I walk so much when I'm there, that I get to eat more to compensate for the energy expenditure. At least that's my reasoning. The other reason is "hey I'm on vacation" I'll go on a diet next week.

This is one of those times like the Stitch show. It just leaves me scratching my head in wonder.

Put up an illustration of it, get it out there. Advertise it. People pass that Dole whip painting and say "wow, that looks great!" People that are new to Disney pass by the Enchanted Grove without even noticing it.

I asked a manager about this and was told that they didn't sell enough, but in the same sentence acknowledged that a lot of people had complained about it. It's always about profits because if Disney really cared about calories, I'm sure they would also eliminate the banana split at the Plaza and that nasty calorie laden "Kitchen Sink" at Beaches 'n Cream over at the Beach club.
